FGH Spirit Girls Collect Donations for Displaced Victims of
Forrest General Hospital’s Spirit Girls are continuing to do their part by helping Louisiana residents recover from Hurricane Ida. The girls have been collecting snacks, personal hygiene items and even pet treats for Louisiana residents who evacuated to Hattiesburg and are living in hotels indefinitely. So far, Spirit Girls have collected enough supplies for more than 100 goody bags. Thank you for continuing to serve our community!
FGH Names DAISY Award Winner for September
Ericka Hardy, RN, a nurse on the 4T patient care unit, was named the recipient of the September DAISY Award at Forrest General Hospital. The award is presented monthly to a deserving nurse or nurses who exemplify clinical expertise and compassionate care and is recognized as a role model in the nursing community.

COVID-19 Vaccines Available
The Healthworks Immunization Clinic, a partnership with Hattiesburg Clinic and Forrest General Hospital, have vaccination appointments available for individuals ages 12 and older. To make an appointment please visit the online patient portal on Iris, or call 601-261-1620.
The City of Hattiesburg, in partnership with Hattiesburg Clinic and Forrest Health, are reopening the free COVID-19 testing clinic at CE Roy Community Center (300 East 5th Street) on Saturdays and Wednesdays, from 8 a.m. until Noon.

DOWNTOWN PETAL | SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 | 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. | FREE TO THE PUBLIC
It’s back! The Petal Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to bring back the Downtown FAM Jam, featuring food, art, music, in a FAMily friendly environment. Visit with local artisans and food vendors while enjoying live music by Josh Birdsong. Bring a lawn chair and stay all evening. Main street will be closed between Regions Bank and Panther Credit for the event. Parking is available at nearby closed businesses.
Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes
Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Stir well. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and ricotta cheese. Pour over flour mixture and stir briefly to mix. Do not beat. Stir in 1 cup blueberries.
Lightly grease a griddle (or very large skillet) with oil and heat over medium heat. Drop in pancake batter to form 6 pancakes. Cook pancakes until bubbles form on top and edges turn golden, about 2 minutes. Flip over and cook sides about 2 minutes or until golden. Remove pancakes and keep war. Repeat with remaining batter for form 6 more pancakes.
